VOODOO DOLL!

JANET'S VOODOO CLASS

Come up with disgusting ideas
and email in your horrible creations!

THINGS YOU WILL NEED

Fabric – for the body Hessian, 

Linen or similar looking fabric 

1/2 metre piece.

Red & black embroidery thread or 

any colours that you like.

2 buttons of different sizes.

Stuffing – you can buy stuffing or 

use old tights cut up into small

 pieces or even dry peas, 

beans or lentils.

Needle & sewing cotton

 

STEP 1

Begin by downloading a voodoo doll 

template (you can find these with a 

quick search online) or draw out your own

design and cuaround it carefully.

Make sure that the

arms and legs are not too thin.

(Watch this space, we will upload

our own template soon)

STEP 2

Fold your fabric in half widthways with

thtwo sides together.

Pin the template onto the

 folded fabric and cut out.

STEP 3

Sow across each arm at the point where 

it joins the body. Do this on all arms and 

legand on both pieces. 

Try to get lines matching.

STEP 4

Put right sides of body together, 

matching up the stitching on the 

arms and legs.

STEP 5

Sow around the edge, leaving a 

gap for stuffing.

STEP 6

Turn the whole thing through, stuff with 

fillingMaking sure to get it right 

down both legs and arms, 

fill the body but don’t over stuff it, 

then sew up the opening.

STEP 7

Sew on your button where the eyes 

should be.

STEP 8

Sew the mouth – a long line, with 

shorter ones over the top, using

the black embroidery thread.

STEP 9

Then sew on your heart, using the red 

embroidery thread. You can add other 

embellishments, like scars on the body 

at this stage too.
